Shingu's Wind Caravan sculptures that started their worldwide sojourn from these rice paddies in Sanda, Hyogo returned to the WIND MUSEUM to be part of the dancing in Jazz of the Wind.
Strong, brassy sounds of the Kazemü Jazz Orchestra, led by trumpeter Hisato Kikuchi, resonated from the stage built over the water. Vocal artist Momoko Iijima, born and raised here in Sanda near WIND MUSEUM, sang beautifully, her notes echoing in the forest. MC Chris's witty talk created a delightful ambience, while the salsa dances of team Salud Kobe guided the audience to move with the rhythm. A great crowd of more than 500 enjoyed both music and dance outdoors in the best weather we could have hoped for.
