Susumu Shingu gave a short speech after the first showing of the film Breathing Earth: Susumu Shingu's Dream on September 12, 2015. He reported that southern Italian town Matera, one of the candidate sites for Breathing Earth, had been chosen as European Cultural Capital of 2019 and the construction of Breathing Earth village was about to start.
