SPACESHIP - Susumu Shingu

SPACESHIP - Susumu Shingu at Yokosuka Museum of Art

November 3 - December 25, 2016

Venue:Yokosuka Museum of Art

The second venue of SPACESHIP is Yokosuka Museum of Art. The group of 21 sculptures of Wind Caravan with yellow sails will be temporally installed on the green forecourt that gradually descends toward the ocean.
The mysterious building of the museum by Riken Yamamoto will be transformed to be a spaceship by Susumu Shingu with the artist’s new works and a few of most recent works. Let's explore the journey to the cosmos with the captain Shingu!

“Among all the planets, our truly unique Earth, where we enjoy so many different colors and varying degrees of light and sound, exists in the endlessly expanding Cosmos. This is where I was born and I consider it nothing short of a miracle.”
